Position
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to work with approximately 530 exceptional, gifted young men, talented faculty, and committed staff. Located in New York City, Regis High School is a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory school and the only Jesuit, full-scholarship high school in the country. The school was founded in 1914 through the extraordinary generosity of an anonymous woman and her family. Regis now relies on the philanthropy of alumni, parents, and friends as its most significant source of financial support.

Position Summary
Regis seeks a qualified candidate to join its staff as a Computer Science Teacher beginning September 2026. This is a full-time, faculty position. The position comes with full benefits. Work hours may vary and will include some evenings and weekends for special school events. Salary is competitive for the New York City area and is commensurate with experience. The 2026-2027 school year for faculty ends no later than June 15, 2027.
Job Responsibilities
- Teaches various courses within the 9th and 10th grade required curriculum, and 11th and 12th grade elective course offering.
- Performs academic services that include the preparation of examinations, the correction and assignment of grades, and assigned proctoring duties.
- Maintains daily availability to students in one’s assigned Department Resource Center through the school day when not teaching class, as well as for one hour after school each week.
- Facilitates conferences with students and parents; offers individual guidance to students serving as an academic advisor with a student advisement group; directs student cocurricular activities; serves on faculty committees; actively participates in studying department and school issues; prepares syllabi.
- Attends and participates in key faculty and staff events as required, as well as faculty meetings; will provide other such professional incidental services in accordance with the judgement of the Principal and the school’s needs and requirements.
- Participates in ongoing professional development.
- Supports and advances the Catholic and Jesuit mission of the school.
- Works in collaboration with the administration in observing the principles and ideals for which Regis High School stands.
- Devotes energy to teaching in conformity with the policies of Regis High School and is subject at all times to the general control and supervision of the Principal.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Successful teaching experience: high school or higher education preferred.
- Familiarity with and understanding of technology for instruction.
- Evidence of continuing professional education through conferences, seminars, or professional associations is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree (minimum) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering. Master’s Degree in related fields preferred.
- Successful teaching experience (high school or higher education).
- Evidence of continuing professional education through conferences, seminars, or professional associations is preferred.
Status
This is a full-time, 10-month position.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range
$73,093+, Commensurate with years of experience and level of success in the institutional advancement area, eligible for most benefits immediately.
Most benefits go into effect immediately. Participation in the 403 (b) occurs after one year of employment.
Other expectations
A willingness to work at times outside the normal school day and school year, including weekend events.
The school expects one to conduct oneself at all times in a manner which shall not bring reproach upon oneself or the school.
